When it comes to the NFL Draft rumors and a player’s stock, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler is extremely astute. Jaxson Dart, a quarterback for Ole Miss, is one of the most intriguing prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Although he is not among the top two quarterbacks, along with Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, many believe he has a shot to be selected in the first round.
But, according to Fowler, there are also some worries about Dart.
According to BleacherReport, Fowler stated, “They could definitely talk themselves into it, but they don’t necessarily think that he is a surefire first-round talent based on their grades.” He possesses a wide range of skills. He is capable of throwing. He is a large, strong man. He struggled at times in important games and late in games, especially that Florida game where he had several late turnovers. These are some of the issues that teams have with him. Thus, there are some issues there.
Dart made some poor choices and threw many interceptions late in the game against Florida, but it was still very much in the balance. The Rebels’ failure to qualify for the College Football Playoffs was ultimately largely due to the game.
Given that Dart has a lot of qualities that evaluators find appealing, it is quite improbable that only two quarterbacks will be selected in the first round. Dart will continue to be one of the most talked-about prospects until the draft, and the conversation around him isn’t going to go down.
This year’s NFL Draft will begin on Thursday, April 24, and go through April 26 in Green Bay.
