Jon Anderson, the renowned former lead vocalist of the progressive rock band YES, has announced ambitious plans for 2025, including a new album and a massive tour. Anderson will collaborate with The Band Geeks to release the live CD “Live – Perpetual Change” on March 14, 2025, through Frontiers Music SRL. This album captures the excitement and passion of their 2023 shows, with classic YES tracks recorded at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles, Illinois. Fans may expect live performances of hits including “Yours Is No Disgrace,” “Close To The Edge,” “Starship Trooper,” “Heart Of The Sunrise,” and “Roundabout.”

In promotion of this release, Anderson and The Band Geeks have announced the first leg of their 2025 North American tour, which will begin on April 1 at the Rialto Theatre in Tucson, Arizona and end on May 18 at the Carteret Performing Arts Centre in New Jersey. The 18-show tour will include big locations such as Anaheim, Las Vegas, Seattle, and Cleveland. Concertgoers can expect a dynamic performance that combines timeless YES classics with songs from their 2024 new album, “True,” which gained widespread critical acclaim when it was released.

“True,” which debuted on August 23, 2024, represented a watershed moment in Anderson’s brilliant career. This nine-track album, co-produced with The Band Geeks’ bassist and musical director Richie Castellano, pays homage to the iconic 1970s YES sound while still incorporating current elements. Notable songs include “Shine On,” “True Messenger,” and the grandiose 16-minute epic “Once Upon a Dream.” The partnership with The Band Geeks has received praise for its authenticity and seamless fusion of traditional and modern progressive rock elements.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Anderson emphasised his excitement: “I’ve been yearning to have that experience again… of singing the songs I lived for, and the music I helped develop and design, with the sound of the old band surrounding me once more. The first time I heard The Band Geeks, I really freaked out; they sound just like the vintage YES of the 1970s, the YES that I know and adore.

Tickets for the next tour are expected to be in high demand, as fans eagerly await the chance to hear Anderson’s distinct voice and The Band Geeks’ excellent musicianship live. The tour not only honours YES’ rich past, but also features new material that continues to push the frontiers of progressive rock. As Anderson embarks on this journey, he confirms his unwavering commitment to music and the fans who have supported him throughout his extraordinary career.

Fans may get a preview of what’s to come by watching the performance of “And You And I” from the upcoming live album, “Live – Perpetual Change.”
