I write this letter with sincere gratitude and introspection to everyone who is the lifeblood of Chelsea Football Club, from the players and staff to the supporters worldwide and the larger community that surrounds this incredible institution. I owe each of you a great deal for the development, learning, and transformation I’ve experienced with Chelsea.
When I initially joined Chelsea, I entered a team known for its greatness, aspirations, and unwavering winning mindset. However, I found something much more potent: a family. A family that embraced me, supported the goalie I was, and helped me develop into the goalie I wanted to be. Every Cobham training session, every tactical discussion, and every obstacle forced me to raise my game. I developed both as a player and as a person in this supportive and demanding atmosphere.
Thank you to Chelsea FC’s coaches, technical staff, medical crew, analysts, and everyone else whose labor is frequently overlooked. I appreciate your confidence in me, your challenges, and your guidance. You made it possible for me to grow, learn, adapt, and prosper. You made an investment in my development, helped me get through challenging times, and joined me in celebrating victories. Being a member of Chelsea’s culture of excellence has impacted me in ways that I will keep with me for the rest of my life; it is more than just a catchphrase.
I want to express my gratitude to my teammates for always being an inspiration to me. Every day, you have inspired me, sharpened me, and reminded me of the responsibility and delight that come with wearing this badge. I’ve been motivated to give my all every day by our solidarity, our one goal, and our shared ideals.
One of the greatest gifts of my career has been the backing of the Chelsea supporters, who are the club’s fundamental basis. Your devotion has produced a unique atmosphere, whether at Kingsmeadow, Stamford Bridge, traveling sites, or through letters from all around the world. I felt appreciated, encouraged, and welcomed by you. Your faith in me bolstered my determination, and your passion for this club motivated me to give the badge my all.
Thank you to the entire Chelsea community for providing me with a place to live. We appreciate you fostering an atmosphere that honors, promotes, and celebrates women’s football. Players like me have been able to dream greater, accomplish more, and feel genuinely empowered thanks to your dedication.
I take the lessons, experiences, and appreciation that Chelsea has given me with me as I look to the future. This club and its members will always have a particular place in my heart, regardless of where my path takes me.
