Maharashtra: College Student Jumps from Metro Station in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Condition Critical
Pimpri-Chinchwad, February 25, 2025 – A 21-year-old college student is in critical condition after attempting suicide by jumping from the Sant Tukaram Nagar Metro Station in Pimpri-Chinchwad on Monday evening.

The student, identified as a second-year engineering student at Dr. DY Patil College, jumped from the elevated metro station around 6 PM. Witnesses at the scene immediately alerted local authorities and emergency responders, who rushed him to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial (YCM) Hospital. According to hospital sources, the student has suffered severe injuries and is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU).
