New K-State O-Line Coach HAS TOOLS to Take Group to the NEXT LEVEL in 2025 | Kansas State Podcast

Kansas State University (K-State) is gearing up for a transformative 2025 football season, marked by strategic coaching shifts and key player decisions aimed at elevating the Wildcats’ offensive line performance.

Coaching Changes Bolster Offensive Line

In February 2025, K-State announced the promotion of Brian Lepak to offensive line coach. Lepak, who previously served three seasons as the Wildcats’ tight ends coach, brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of K-State’s offensive strategies. Expressing his enthusiasm, Lepak stated, “I am excited to get back to coaching the offensive line and building on the many things I learned from Coach Riley.”

Supporting Lepak is Drew Liddle, elevated to assistant offensive line coach after his tenure as an offensive analyst in 2024. Their collaboration aims to enhance the offensive line’s cohesion and effectiveness, building upon the foundation laid by former coach Conor Riley, who departed for the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.

Player Commitments Strengthen the Line

The Wildcats received a significant boost with senior offensive lineman Taylor Poitier’s decision to return for an additional season, granted through extra eligibility. Poitier’s experience and leadership are expected to be invaluable assets to the offensive line’s development.

Strategic Vision for 2025

Under the guidance of head coach Chris Klieman and newly appointed offensive coordinator Matt Wells, the Wildcats are poised to implement innovative offensive schemes. Wells, formerly the co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, brings a strategic mindset aimed at maximizing the offensive line’s potential and overall team performance.

These concerted efforts in coaching and player retention underscore K-State’s commitment to advancing its football program. With a fortified coaching staff and seasoned players, the Wildcats’ offensive line is well-positioned to reach new heights in the upcoming season.
