In a groundbreaking announcement that has taken both the sporting and entertainment worlds by storm, officials have confirmed the release of the Snooker Tour Championship documentary on Netflix, alongside the full list of tour dates for the upcoming global Snooker Player’s Championship. This major development marks a new era for professional snooker, bringing fans closer than ever to the precision, pressure, and personalities that define the sport.

The highly anticipated Netflix documentary series, titled “The Green Baize: Inside the Snooker Tour Championship”, promises an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the intense world of snooker’s finest talents. Cameras followed the top-ranked players across their 2024–2025 season, capturing the emotional highs, locker room moments, and grueling matches that shape their pursuit of glory. Featuring appearances from some of the sport’s greats — including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, Mark Selby, and Neil Robertson — the series highlights both the glamour and the grind of a tour that demands perfection with every shot.

Netflix officials described the project as a fusion of cinematic storytelling and authentic sporting drama, comparable to the success of Drive to Survive in Formula 1. “We wanted to show the world that snooker is more than just quiet rooms and green tables — it’s a mental war, a story of discipline, and an art form,” said the show’s executive producer.

Alongside the documentary’s premiere, the World Snooker Tour has officially unveiled the 2026 Snooker Player’s Championship Tour Dates, with matches set to take place in iconic cities like London, Sheffield, Hong Kong, Berlin, Dubai, and Melbourne. The new season is expected to feature expanded formats, live fan events, and new sponsorship deals, emphasizing snooker’s growing global popularity.

The tour will begin in February 2026 in Sheffield, the sport’s spiritual home, before traveling across Europe and Asia, concluding in Melbourne, Australia, with the Grand Final in July 2026.

Fans can expect the Netflix documentary to debut globally on January 20, 2026, just weeks before the live tour begins, giving audiences an inside look at the rivalries, strategies, and emotions that drive these elite players to greatness.

As anticipation builds, snooker finds itself on the brink of a cultural revival — uniting old-school purists and a new generation of streaming fans under one green spotlight. 🎱✨
