This week, Ole Miss signed a freshman from Alabama football, wide receiver Caleb Odom. Odom, who entered the transfer portal early in the window, informed On3 that he is joining the Rebels.
Odom is a 6-foot-5, 227-pound receiver from Carrollton, Georgia. Odom was signed as a tight end before deciding to play receiver in 2024. In his freshman season, he caught seven catches for 65 yards across 12 games, primarily as a backup receiver and special teams player.
Alabama has seen approximately a dozen athletes visit the transfer portal since it debuted on December 9. Meanwhile, the Crimson Tide has already signed two transfers:
Florida’s Kelby Collins and Utah’s Cameron Calhoun. Alabama also reinstated Danny Lewis Jr. as a tight end after he entered the transfer portal, and the Crimson Tide prevented Jaylen Mbakwe from accessing the portal.
