Rumours: Over the course of the day,

The Milwaukee Bucks, who are vying for a spot in the NBA playoffs, have received some bad news recently. Damian Lillard, who has missed the last two games due to a calf injury, is still the centre of attention.

Centre Jericho Sims was already out for the Bucks’ remaining regular season. The Bucks are 40-30 and the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference standings going into their game against the Phoenix Suns on Monday. In the first-round series, the Bucks sit one game behind the Indiana Pacers for the fourth seed and home court advantage.

Lillard is still out for Milwaukee, missing his third consecutive game. Lillard will not play in Monday’s game against the Suns, the Bucks said on Sunday, citing “right calf soreness.” Upcoming games against the Suns, Denver Nuggets, and New York Knicks will test Milwaukee’s mettle.

As the postseason approaches, the Bucks’ poor performance against the NBA’s best teams this season is a worrying trend. In an attempt to align the team’s two superstars, Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo recently met with head coach Doc Rivers.

Sources told me that head coach Doc Rivers held a meeting with his two superstars, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, following the Bucks’ disappointing loss to the Warriors on March 18. Haynes made this observation on March 19 in a video that was uploaded on X.

According to what I’ve been informed, this meeting was an open platform for both stars to offer suggestions on how to make the team better,” Hayes continued. “It was a constructive session with each individual being allowed to share their perspectives.”
