In a monumental announcement that’s electrified the music world, legendary rock band AC/DC has unveiled plans for a new album and an extensive world tour in 2025. This marks their first major release since 2020’s “Power Up” and their first North American stadium tour since 2016.
New Album: “You Shock Me All Night”
Set to release in early 2025, “You Shock Me All Night” promises to deliver the quintessential AC/DC sound that fans have cherished for decades. The title track, “You Shock Me All Night,” is already generating buzz for its explosive energy and classic riffs. Guitarist Angus Young’s legendary solos paired with Brian Johnson’s powerful vocals are expected to reignite the band’s signature hard rock vibe. Other notable tracks include “Electric Love” and “Riff Rebellion,” which blend timeless rock elements with a fresh twist.
2025 World Tour: “Power Up Tour”
Coinciding with the album release, AC/DC has announced the “Power Up Tour,” set to kick off in Los Angeles on May 15, 2025. The tour will span multiple continents, with major stops in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Notable dates include performances in Foxborough, MA, on May 4; Minneapolis on April 10; Las Vegas on April 26; Detroit on April 30; Pittsburgh on May 8; and Chicago on May 24. The Pretty Reckless will serve as the special guest for all dates.
Tickets for the North American leg are slated to go on sale on December 6, 2024. Given the band’s history of sold-out shows, fans are encouraged to secure their tickets promptly. The current lineup features Angus Young on lead guitar, Brian Johnson on vocals, Stevie Young on rhythm guitar, Matt Laug on drums, and Chris Chaney on bass guitar.
This announcement follows their successful European “Power Trip Tour” earlier in 2024, where AC/DC delivered electrifying performances of classics like “Thunderstruck,” “Highway to Hell,” and “You Shook Me All Night Long.” The band’s enduring appeal and unwavering dedication to their craft continue to captivate audiences worldwide.
As anticipation builds for both the album and the tour, AC/DC reaffirms their status as rock icons, ready to deliver high-voltage performances that resonate with fan sold and new.
