To the city of Toronto, the Blue Jays organization, my teammates, and every single fan who has stood with me—
As I sit down to compose this letter, I find it difficult to completely describe what’s in my heart. Emotions are whirling, including gratitude, reflection, pride, and, most importantly, love. You welcomed me not only as a player, but also as a member of the Blue Jays family, from the first time I put on the uniform. You trusted in a young child with a renowned surname and tremendous goals, and you provided me the opportunity to establish a reputation for myself. For that, I shall be eternally grateful.
Toronto evolved into more than just a squad. It became my second home. From the electrifying nights at Rogers Centre to the calm moments in the clubhouse with my brothers in uniform, every step of this trip has been memorable. The passion and pride you put into this game — into us — has been my fuel. Whether I was hitting home runs or going through a slump, you never gave up on me. That unrelenting and vocal support helped develop me into the guy and athlete I am today.
Thank you to the Blue Jays organization for believing in me. Thank you for nurturing, challenging, and allowing me to develop both on and off the field. From player development to the front office to the coaches who never gave up on my potential, you all contributed to this great journey. You offered me more than just a job; you gave me a purpose and a platform.
To my former and present teammates: brothers, warriors, and mentors. The ties we’ve formed will never be measured by statistics or standings. We have bled, battled, and laughed together. I’ve learned so much from each of you—about resilience, discipline, and fraternity. I’ll keep those teachings with me forever.
And to my fans, who fill the stands and streets with jerseys displaying my name… Words are not enough. You applauded for me when I flew and stuck with me when I faltered. Your energy, friendliness, and belief made me feel like I belonged here, and I am eternally thankful. Every autograph signed, every high-five offered, every yell after a home run – those memories are burned into my heart.
This is a love letter, not a goodbye. A dedication to the community that raised me. No matter where the game leads me next, a part of me will always be in Toronto. The Blue Jays gave me a dream and helped me realize it. And for that, I shall always remember you with pride.
