According to TEAMtalk, Crystal Palace is negotiating a new deal with offensive midfielder Eberechi Eze in an attempt to ward off interest from Tottenham and five other elite teams.
The 26-year-old England international scored the game-winning goal in the FA Cup final against Manchester City, marking the Eagles’ first-ever major trophy victory. He has had another fantastic season with the team.
As we approach the transfer window, interest in Eze has only grown as a result of his amazing 14 goals and 11 assists in all competitions this season.
Palace won’t let him leave without a fight, though. The club has started contract negotiations with Eze and is working to finalize a new agreement, according to TEAMtalk sources.
A £68 million release clause in Eze’s current contract, which is slated to activate this summer, expires in mid-August, two weeks before the transfer window closes. The contract is valid until June 2027.

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham is willing to provide a player-plus-cash deal or activate Eze’s £68 million release clause, which is why Palace is seeking a speedy conclusion.
In addition to Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Bayern Munich, who are considering Eze as a replacement for Florian Wirtz, Manchester United is still keeping an eye on the situation.
Eze is happy at Selhurst Park, where he has thrived since leaving Queens Park Rangers in 2020, despite the circulating interest.
Though he is open to competing at the top level, motivated by goals of trophies and a key part for England at the 2026 World Cup, sources close to the player highlight his thanks to Palace and his unwillingness to force a move.
Clubs looking to add creativity to their squad are taking notice of Eze’s versatility and playmaking skills, which has only increased his attractiveness.
