I see those of you who have been with me from the start, as well as those who joined as the light began to shine. Not only is your loyalty valued, but it is a fundamental part of my journey. I’m stronger, bolder, and more motivated than ever thanks to you. I rise with you as I rise.
I had no idea the journey that music would take me on when I first picked up a guitar and dared to think that it could be my life. You—the fans who openly display your wounds, who shout the words back louder than I could ever sing them, and who remind me every night why I do what I do—are the one thing that has kept me rooted through all the craziness, from sweaty basement performances to enormous festival stages.
Fitting in or following trends was never Halestorm’s goal. It was about making a place where misfits, outsiders, and dreamers could find their voice and about surviving. You allowed us that room. You infused it with ferocity, integrity, and unadulterated vitality that keeps us on our feet with each performance. And I’ve gained the confidence to be loud, messy, emotional, and authentically myself because of you.
This trip hasn’t always been simple, to be honest. At times when the strain of anticipation or the fatigue of the journey seemed to be dragging me down, I didn’t think I had what it took to keep going. However, I could hear your chants, stories, and enthusiasm at those times. You made me realize that this is our battle, not just mine. Together, we have transformed suffering into strength, fear into courage, and quiet into an unabated chorus.
I never stand there by myself when I take the stage. Every single one of you who has ever felt different, needed an outlet, or relied on music as a lifeline has my support. I hold that friendship in high regard. It’s family, not just fandom.
I will continue to give you everything I have, I swear. I will continue to write, sing, and shout the truth, regardless of how clumsy or noisy it becomes. Because you have poured all of your energy, faith, and unflinching belief into me. Additionally, I rise with you when I do.
